One Healthy Recipe I have on Repeat

My breakfast is incomplete without this drink every other day and it is worth a try!

I am not very intricate when it comes to preparing #breakfast and I prefer to have something that is healthy and easy to consume and takes less time in preparation. Akhil and I customarily start our mornings with a glass of smoothie and a sandwich on the go. And this has pretty much been the same over a year like a ritual. We have been so used to this typical menu that we never often thought of exploring or trying something else and honestly I don't regret it.

A week back I got some black cherries, in quest of the red ones that are my second favorite fruit, the first one being Mangoes. Although they taste almost the same, I wasn't sure if I would like them as the cherry hue has been a prominent reason for my love for cherries. However, after reading an article on its health benefits and trying a few, I realized that this is one fruit I am going to be faithful to this #season.

I've been adding them to almost every sweet meal like fruit cream, custard, and even smoothies or shakes. One such #recipe I'm savoring for breakfast is a Banana Cherry shake. The recipe is healthy and takes about 5 minutes for preparation. You can still have it at any other time however, I prefer to start my mornings with a glass of it almost every day.

Milk, 200 ml

10 to 15 black cherries (make sure to remove the seeds)

1 small banana

1 to 2 cardamom

1 teaspoon honey/sugar syrup (optional)

Few ice cubes (optional)


Add all the ingredients in a blender and mix well. Top it up with some cherries before serving.
